My husband took me here for the first time for our anniversary for lunch. The place is beautiful and the location is great but the food...the food is awful! Very bland and way over priced for lunch!!!! We decided to give this place a second chance on a Christmas Eve after church service. Again the place was beautifully decorated with lights, they had a lady playing Christmas music. We were there with our 3 kids this time. I don’t remember the service being too bad but it was a little slow considering they weren’t that busy. Our food took a while and again it was so bland!! Even the kids pasta with marinara sauce. For the price of the food, we expected way better food!! Save your money and go to another place in Swansboro. Our favorite is the Riverside Steak and Seafood. Almost the same prices (if not a bit more pricey) but you get incredible food and service!!!!
We've been coming to North Carolina for vacation for the past 10 year, and when we started, this place was great. But over the last few years it seems to have gone downhill. The service is always wonderful and staff friendly, the location is beautiful, the food is where my issues lie. The past 3 times we have gone, there has always been one meal that was messed up. The pasta is bland and cold, the sauces watery, and the prices are high for everything. I want to like this place again, but sadly it hasn't redeemed itself.
Great place. Brought the wife for our anniversary and she was happy so gents that's all that matters! Food is like no other, service is outstanding and it was nice and quiet so we could just hang out and talk

I've been eating at WORB for over 30 years - does that tell you anything? The Italian food is delicious, especially the seafood & pasta creations and the desert is to die for! Be sure to save some room for one of their sinful goodies and a cup of coffee while you admire THE BEST VIEW OF THE WHITE OAK RIVER in Swansboro - hands down. The outside resembles an old country home with a huge wrap-around porch lined with large tables. The absolute only "complaint" I can lodge is that, regrettably, the porch is East-facing, making sunsets less than ideal. But, still, it's my favorite outdoor dining spot in Swansboro.
