I am a single woman on social security. I took my 09 Beetle to this garage because my low beam bulb was blown.Needless to say l left there in total shock when I was told it would be at least $200 to change the bulb due to the "complicated process" to change it. I was told that the air flow handler would have to be removed, the battery taken out and the bumper taken off the car. Yes folks, even the bumper to replace the low beam bulb.The mechanic assured me he knew what he was doing as he has a similar Beetle sitting around the corner (and there is indeed a silver Beetle sitting there, check it out if you don't believe me).
Well, my Mama didn't raise no fools thank the Good Lord above. I went home and hit up good old You Tube! The VERY FIRST VIDEO I found was a tutorial on how to change the low beam bulb on the driver side of a Beetle. Take the bumper off my left foot!!!!
